Shotgun data

No longer updated since the data is available on the main page instead

Thought it would be best to make a new thread to make it easier to find, plus it was sort of off-topic in the other shotgun thread anyways... ;o

So yeah, Finally found the spread values, so here are the shotguns stats as of the June patch

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?…dlNXc1VGVGhCRWc

After a helluva lot of digging with hash codes etc I finally found where they were... Hiding in plain sight. Instead of putting the spread values inside the main weapon file, they made a new file named <weapon> gunsway *hashcode*

Bastards.

When I read gunsway I think of a COMPLETELY different thing... Though they've also named the carbines cold loaded ammo "PDW" etc.. So yeah.. I should really have expected something retarded like that..

During the hip spread crosshair test I found that the M1014 was more accurate than the others, though in the data they're all identical at the hip... Afaik I had the flashlight equipped so nothing should have interfered... :|
Edit: tried it again, and the M1014 really is slightly more accurate than the rest, though not represented in the data.. :|

nice one mate!

I knew the 870 fired faster with buckshot than it did with anything else! it said so in the old charts but noone but me seesm to have mentioned it before..

seems as though the slugs in the 870 and spas share the same velocity! hmm, spread seems best on the pumps.. could it be these stats aren't 100%? or was your testing off?
Rather fond of mushrooms. 'just aim for the head'... yeah, not likely.

Checked again and this time definitely with no unnecessary attachments on.. Still more accurate.. Though who knows, there might be even mroe hidden stats that affect the guns in some ways... Like how there are dispersion values etc for various stances laying around here and there

what ranges were you testing them at dude? and by accurate you mean grouping of the pellets?

hmm.. do you think it may be a bug? or.. just inconsistent stats?

Just looking at the HUD crosshair, so no range. So yeah... it's.. something... :| Might just be a simple display glitch and that the spread really is the same as the rest, or the data is wrong, or affected by something on the way into the game..

What do the spread values actually mean for shotguns? It just sounds weird that the 870MCS has a Standing Zoom of .1 (which in my mind sounds like every pellet has SKS accuracy) vs Standing UnZoom of 1.5 (which seems just about right)

I didn't compare shots, only the HUD crosshair. M1014 only has 10 pellets anyways.. No clue why you can't open the sheet, other people are looking at it atm :>

I just did this 14 round group with the SPAS (also 0.1 ADS spread) at 300 meters with HOLO sight (some scope sway)... 0.1 sounds about right actually.. Spread for shotguns is exactly the same as any other weapon. But for buckshot and flechette you send out the whole cone in that random direction.

WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT...so slugs are pretty much a waste of time. With that accuracy you will still kill that guy with 2-3 shots at 300m. Wow...

In other words, this game's code looks like it's written by 5 year old kiddo compared to how DICE did things with BF3.

Uh, get the feeling that there's a misunderstanding going on, those are 14 slug rounds for the record :>
