What distance are the accuracy plots showing?

What accuracy plots? You are going to have to provide some more detail...

Just the plots on the BF3 page. When I make my own plots, the plots are identical regardless of distance. Why?

You are misunderstanding how you intercept the data.

If I were to fire a gun at you, my spread pattern will always be the same. The only thing that is changing is how big the target is via distance, affecting your probability of a hit.

Distance is used in Plotic to calculate the target size and the TTK / Bullet drop calculations.

If you are wanting to show more of a plot, you would need to lower the Scale value.

Re: Plotic - Graphical representation of weapon deadliness

FYI... Version 2.1 is available for download.

Fixes:
Added the ability to output the ammo info: type, mag size, and mag count.

Grouped options into their own respective tabs.
(The target options have their own tab now)
Color coded some items.
Upcoming:
Ability to adjust the target location by meters, degrees, or pixels.
I was thinking about adding the ability to click on the map and tell it's distance from center. Giving the user the ability to click on a spot and see how far that is from the center fire point. This would probably be in meters, degrees, and pixels... Any thoughts?

Sorry if I'm so hard to deal with but....

I downloaded 2.1 and the weapons zip.

1. I can't get any of the guns to load.

2. I can't find where the silhouette of the man is and how to insert him.

3. Looking through the thread is rough. Can there be a seperate thread, just with directions?

The zip file has to be extracted so there should be a 'weapons' folder where you are running Plotic.

The target has been moved: Click on Advanced, and then Target to find those options.

documentation is lacking... I will try to get around to it.

Re: Plotic - Graphical representation of weapon deadliness

Got bored so decided to finally do a proper comparison...

AN-94
4x russian
bipod
silencer

prone 300 meters

First group to the left is single shot, rest 2 round burst

Umm... It's really a lot tighter in-game ;> Plus the 2nd bullet isn't always above the first one like plotic displays...

Did some more shots at 800 meters though didn't have big enough target for solid confirmation, but even there most of the bullets hit in the same places and not waaaay above like plotic shows. Overall accuracy seems to be slightly better in-game as well...

So umm... Is recoil handled correctly? Like the automatic gun recovery between each shot etc.. If enough time passes the gun falls back to the original position, but it looks more like plotic just skips that.
