Attachment Combination Plots

6/16 Update:
Updated plots are on hold. Assumptions in both my code and plotic have been proven wrong. See this thread for details: Horizontal recoil analysis (recoil patterns)

6/5/12 Update:
Added CQB weapons. Attachment values for these still unknown. Coming soon. Updated plots for recent discovery that there is no recoil decrease while firing. Bipod behavior still undetermined. Bipod plots temporarily removed.


Split by weapon category and then by foregrip and bipod for image size reasons.

thank you, saw your last plots these seem more accurate. except for the an-94, i know the AN94 doesnt follow the conventional rules for plotting but i see what you are trying to do! thanks.

that is a lot of work fiddling with plotic, but plotic doesnt adjust for game glitchiness: bipods are glitched to have no recoil between first 2 shots (g3 is the only gun with propper bipod afaik)

abakan has no recoil in 2 shot mode, only spread, evident when 2nd shot lands under first, which would be impossible with recoil upwards.

dont think single fire weapon mechanic is in plotic yet,
once bolt recoils back, spread decreases very fast,
so normally you wait a tiny bit and shoot again at max accuracy and dont tap at max rpm.

Lol, AN-94 was always accurate, the chart doesn't even show the correct 2 round burst pattern... :| (not Jackson's fault) Obviously all First Shots are always going to be accurate and hit the mark so nothing special there, its just the an-94 bypasses the 2nd bullet rule and shoots it without the recoil factor w/ very little spread. People either love the AN-94 or don't. If anything, the plot for m16a4 should of grabbed your attention lol. And gj Jackson, been looking at your charts for quite some time now, helps me a lot!

And you should put a FG on your KH2002. The KH2002 has tons of horizontal recoil and benefits a lot from it..not having it will only make your bullet groupings worse. You only lose a little accuracy on first shot, which is perfectly fine still. Look at the the tiny dots out side of the 2x2 box compared to the one with FG. Each tiny dot literally represents one random bullet. With FG, you don't get any of those and everything is way more compressed into the box area.

this plot is just for the first 3 (or 4 or 5) bullets right? Not for the whole clip? So for example, the real potential of the foregrip is not shown here right? (because foregrip increases spread on the first few bullets, making it bad on long/medium range, but after that, it helps the overall recoil).

Yeah plots only show the first 4 bullets. But FG's spread is universal with every shot, as you shoot more on auto, the bullets will be even more inaccurate and flying all over the place. FG applies to every bullet, what you see on the plot is the general spread/recoil pattern for guns, it doesnt matter if its the 6 or 20th, it will all follow the same pattern. For example the g3a3 is a V pattern, as more bullets are shot the overall spread will increase forming a bigger V. get it?
