QBU-88 vs MK11

As far as I can see/feel they have the exact same specs.
So why put this in?
Same goes for the SV98 vs the L96?

Let me hear what you think...

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

Err, why are you saying this? The damage charts say quite the opposite of what you're saying. They are different.
The MK11 has significantly faster reload speeds, while the QBU-88 has reasonably consistent recoil to the right, whereas the MK11 recoils both right and left.
Also the QBU-88 is listed as having much lower suppression, which looks like an error to me but it could be legitimate.

And the L96 fires with a rechambering time of 1.10s, faster than the SV98's 1.25s. Pair that with the fact that the L96 apparently has 20m/s faster bullets and the L96 is clearly superior.

If you want to accuse any snipers of being too similar it should be the MK11/SVD/M39 EBR, where the only significant defining feature is reload time differences (with the MK11 being best and SVD being worst)

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

1. 88 has flash supressor, and mk11 hasnt.
2. L96 has more bulletspeed, faster reloading, has flash supressor. So i see no reason for using SV98.

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

Suppressor is also inherently more useful on the QBU88 than other semi-auto snipers, because it affects bullets only by 7% as opposed to a whopping 20% on the MK11/SVD.
Infiltrator out.

you definitely misunderstood the suppression value.
this is not how much a suppressor affects the bullet velocity but the amount of suppression you receive when getting hit/shot at by that gun

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

i wondering about the effect of the fore grip on the 88, it's different between M30 and SVD/MK11 (60% to 66%)
how about the 88?

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

According to the data QBU-88's foregrip reduces vertical recoil by 33% and horizontal by 33% . I guess that means it only has 1.0 vertical recoil with it on and just recoil to the right? Could someone explain what the negative left recoil means though (foregrip reduces right recoil from 4.0 to 3x0.67+0.67 because left is -1 normally and right 3 ?)

Negative means it recoils in opposite direction. Em I right?

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

Would a -1 to the left and 4 to the right just mean a 0 to the left and 5 to the right?

The m39 has a higher bulletspeed than the other semi-snipers, so i prefer that when using a suppresor.

Re: QBU-88 vs MK11

When you have 3 left and 4 right the value is being draw between these 2 numbers, so it can be for example 2 left or 1 right or 0.
When you have -1 left and 4 right it means the value is taken from numbers 1 right and 4 right, so it will always recoil into right, with value between 1 and 4.

If you want the gun to have only left recoil between 2 and 5, you would give it 5 left and -2 right.
