This is much worse than i ever thought..

I blame all of thoose young gamers 12-18 years old (and their blatant parents), they have been handed everything to them on a silver spoon since they where little kids, they simply can`t accept the reality and therefor often take the easy way to win.
One thing for sure, every hacker will have a really rough awakening to real life when they grown older, have fun on minimal wages n00bs :D

ps. suppression just gotta GO - E-sports is not random - keep spreading the word!

And to think that I was brought up on Clu-clu land, Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, Circus Charlie...

The horror man, the horror. If only I knew how to cheat back them. I wouldn't have been here and just trolling on Battlelog instead. :P

Those old Snes games had their own cheats, I remember the USA video game team doing mini-shows showing not just tips&trick but actual multi-button dev cheats back in the day on actual live tv.

The best thing you could do for a FPS is install a warden that checks memory (similiar to the ones activision uses in Diablo 2, WoW, and soon to be Diablo 3.) Because honestly speaking, PunkBuster is complete and utter trash, and has never worked besides revoking users because their version wasn't on par with the servers, and denying an auto-update. I wish they would just trash PB already, and be done with the developers behind that trashware.

I also disagree with you AAAliVEE, Suppression is just right, and it needs more finer tuning for instance that asshat bolt sniper who's suppressed shouldn't be able to return a projectile back at me, and hit at the same time from long ranges. This isn't CoD, just relocate to another vantage point, and return fire if the shooter is still there.

Well ...this is unnerving.
I'd only thought I'd seen a few undeniable cheaters, Though I've probably seen many more that that. I've actually started trying to avoid playing on 64m servers because I always seem to get destroyed when I play on those, perhaps this might give some clues to why?
This might also explain some of the pilots I've seen. I've been running along sometimes, only to be ripped to shreds by jet cannons. I know some people are good pilots, but being able to find a tiny moving target and position yourself perfectly to cut him up with your guns while hundreds of feet in the air just seems sus to me ...

I always see people that I have suspicions about, but I just try and put it down to "they are actually just better than you", But maybe they actually had crutch to help them :S ... I wish there was actually something that was going to get done about it, I don't have any faith in PB or any of the other countermeasures DICE try and implement.

Off-topic so I'll try and keep it short :(

Anyways, Squirrel is not as good a commentator as he used to be IMO. He barely uploads and is just way more boring and way less cheerful than he used to be with fewer subs. You should check out how ridiculously dull his 'Suppression Guide' was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bs9OR6bV2k&feature=plcp It is as if he's reading from a script and he's speaking in perfect, in-my-opinion-fucking-irritating-and-gay English. He sounds like a total nincompoop!

makes me miss when people would wall hack on COD4 though i did see a youtube of a hacker on bf3 who was headshoting accross the map with a knife through mountans and buildings from his spawn.

wish their were golden dog tags for weapons at 100 stars.

The OP is wrong about one thing:

"I don't have a mass of technical knowledge, but I know this keeps PB and DICE/EA from being able to detect it. The executable for the hack doesn't even exist on your computer: You use a java applet to log in, and it loads it directly into memory and you launch the game afterwards."

Not looking to call out the OP here so much as PB and DICE/EA. Two things:

  1. There is no such thing as a 100% secure system
  2. There is no such thing as a 100% secure system

:)

My point is that this works both ways. No game is 100% unhackable, and no hack is 100% undetectable. It's all about the effort required in either direction. PC games are hacked frequently because the systems they run on are open. You can run your own software on Windows, so it's far easier to even attempt exploits against running software. As a corollary, it's far more difficult to detect hacks on the PC, because there are more attack vectors available. But make no mistake about it, should PB, EA, or DICE wish to expend the effort, they could shut down these hacks. They do, occasionally, go through the effort of doing this, but you don't really hear about it because, honestly, who's out complaining that their cheat doesn't work any more?

Consoles are (mostly) spared the trouble because the level of effort required to hack is so much higher. There's also a much higher level of accountability. To understand why, let's walk through what is (theoretically) required to hack a console:

  • Develop a method to interface with the console at a low-level (this might involve some soldering, as the operating systems on most consoles lock down the external ports in a way that don't allow them to do anything important, but even this is exploitable)
  • Use this rudimentary access method to develop your hack (far more tedious than PC exploit dev toolchains)
  • Deploy your hack! (yay, fun times are had)
  • Find that your console ID has been banned on the proprietary and tightly controlled gaming network (PSN or XBL)
  • Realize that you just threw away ~$300 of your hard earned money

On a console, you give up anonymity in exchange for a less hackable gaming experience.
