From rough calculations via recording the game @ 60FpS acceleration/deceleration seems to be around 45m/s^2 (5G!!!). It takes a running soldier around 8 frames (133ms) from running (~6m/s) to completely stopping, and around 10 frames (166ms) to completely change direction when strafing (-3.4m/s to 3.4m/s). It's difficult to understand if there is a difference between acceleration and deceleration, but if there is one it is not big.
