Soldier movement speed

I read in a Bf4 post that soldiers move at 6.5m/s. Bf1's soldier movement speed should be the same if not faster. However soldier.dice states
RunVelocityThreshold 5.5

suggests that soldiers run at 5.5m/s. I've also measured in game the movement speed of the fast targets in Bf4's test range to be around 5.5m/s. Unless I am reading the code completely wrong, does this mean Bf1's soldier does not move as fast as we assumed?

That is not the field you are interested in.

You look inside DefaultSoldierPhysics and look for OnGroundStateData.

Inside that you search for the data pertaining to Standing.

It seems like not only the speed is faster but the acceleration is faster as well? How does this stack up with all the accusations of extremely fast strafing speeds?

The answer is right there.

You look at the direction multipliers.

BF4 put a 0.75x modifier for movement other than forward.

BF1 has 1.0x for every direction.

In Battlefield 4, on PC, if you were to hold down W and A, would you move at 87.5% speed?

@NoctyrneSAGA

What does accelerationgain and decelerationgain mean? Thanks.

How fast you get up to speed and how fast you slow down from movement.

BF1 soldiers are dramatically more nimble because of the high side to side speed coupled with what I interpret as a higher deceleration.

I think they should have kept the BF4 values, those were already "olympic" as is.
