Weapon Chart of the Model 10-A Heavy

I noticed that the Model 10-A Heavy shotgun is not listed in the "Battlefield 1" Beta Weapon Chart.
Battlefield 1 Beta Weapon charts (Damage, accuracy, etc.) | Symthic

To the best of my knowledge, it fires a slug from the information on the Customize screen and has a corresponding damage chart as well as ballistics. So just what is its damage output?

On another note, were the variants of the Model 10-A shotgun suppose to have bayonets attached in the Open Beta? There definitely were in the Closed Alpha footage that I have watched but not so much anymore during all of my current playtime.

Thread enabled.

M10-A slug does 100-43 damage with dropoffs 10m-60m. I could indeed bring it back to charts. I first had them there, then I removed shotgun completely because charts do not really work for them, but slug basically works like a DMR/sniper thing.

And indeed there was bayonet in closed alpha for M10-A but not in open beta. My guess it is to balance out shotgun's good performance at close range (that or the bayonet just doesn't fit to shotgun barrel)

Other players have reported still having bayonets on their shotguns, which was where my confusion came from. I suppose they are the ones who are experiencing a bug.

fairly sure that's the factory model and not the heavy.

and yeah, for me the only weapons in the game that don't have bayonets are the lmgs and handguns, all the other guns i tried had a bayonet.

anyway, i actually believe the heavy(beta) and hunter(alpha) variants are different, whereas the hunter used slugs and the heavy still uses buckshot, in the career screen it doesn't specify if 12 gauge is buckshot or slug after all.

Ah, so your shotguns have bayonets attached to them as well. It doesn't really matter whether it is the Factory or the Heavy variant in the above picture, since both do not have the bayonet attached for me in the Open Beta.

This is certainly very strange then, as we are both on PC. Just which is suppose to be the bug? Are there going to be bayonets for shotguns in the full game?

In any case, can you tell me more about the Hunter variant in the Closed Alpha? I am almost certain that the Heavy variant in the Open Beta shoots a slug.

well the hunter variant was like the the heavy variant, but i'm 100% sure it was slug as i don't seem to remember damage numbers lower to 30-34, and now, although i've used it very little, i seem to remember the heavy to be doing even as low as 18 daamage, and the accuracy being terrible enough that i would lose shots that i would easily get with both slug and buckshot in bf4.

to be honest, i hshould have probably recorded both, but i didn't feel the need to.

also i was sure that in the beta the heavy didn't have a damage chart, but it actually does.

Well so did we actually have a slug shotgun in the beta? I used both for a short time and my performance was very unconvincing. If I had used a slug at some stage this would explain an awful lot.

This is something I totally forgot to check, whether we will have different shotgun ammo at all. So how are the odds that we get flechette ammo as well?

Yep. The Model 10-A Heavy in the Open Beta definitely fired slugs, which I found was very difficult to use effectively due to my poor aim.

I am assuming that since the naming system in the Closed Alpha was different, the aforementioned Model 10-A Hunter was called the Model 10-A HU. That particular variant did not have optics and seems to be the current Model 10-A Factory from the gameplay footage I have seen with them firing a spray of pellets.

This cleared up a lot of my confusion regarding why the Model 10-A shotgun had bayonets attached for some players but not others.
Get Up and Close with the Melee Combat of Battlefield 1

The bayonet will in fact be an attachment to your weapons that provides both certain upsides and downsides. The Model 10-A shotgun I used in the Open Beta might have had a faster time to aim down sights for example, though that is probably only useful for the Heavy variant that shoots a slug.

(that or the bayonet just doesn't fit to shotgun barrel)
Shotguns and bayonets were a thing in WWI. They just added a separate lug under the barrel for the bayonet's loop to fit onto. For example, here's a Norinco clone of the M1897 Trench:
