Quoted

Made recoil decrease smoother
Most recoil values were tweaked, but are not comparable to previous releases

I don't see the issue with the patch notes. No numbers were mentioned because they are not comparable anyway.

Oh yeah wanted to quote you on that one as well.

I mean just look at the confusion it caused on this forum, Labby had to interfere just to clear the air. Some people knew this stat, albeit it was irrelevant, many had never heard of it, and JSLICE20 thinks that this is the pinnacle of gaming sciene. :D If it caused such confusion here, of course there will be a lot more on any media that does not have a file browser background and some deep mathematical understanding.

Labby, in his explanation, talked about a cubic function, if I recall correctly. Now obviously you must have studied something that involved higher mathematics, I haven't and can only remember vaguely what it was about. I kind of look at how DMRs worked in BF4 and interpreted the name of this "new" stat. Then I took Labby's post and my analysis and considered that this will might just be alright in the long run. I am a rather cognitive person, though. :D

Hence, I guess, there will be quite a lot more confusion once the patch hits Live. Everybody will look on symthic, while the regular player has no idea about cubic functions, but a recoil of 1.2° is something everybody is capable of imagining. This is a huge change for symthic though, because suddenly for the SLRs the stats do not quite reflect the performance anymore. This is further confusing because, for other classes, as I understand, nothing or very little changed. Although obviously it makes sense for the SLRs, since it makes balancing the whole class easier in the future, I guess.

Re #5: even before the change it was possible to take out AA's head on if you came at them right and got shots on them really quickly

3) Damaged AAs cannot even be repaired by a Wrench (anecdotal bit I heard from a Support friend who tried). If they are, you can refer back to #2.

I was able to repair AA on operations last night, but it was sometimes tough to find the "hitbox" for repair to work.

The best way is just to go prone and repair the base. Especially if a gunner is on it.

I have some brief footage of the Chauchat in game. The servers were god awful and the gameplay with it is quite laggy. I will edit it and post it here if interested though.

The rounds actually deplete holy crap that's amazing. I've only seen this and the Lebel animations so far, but the DICE SE team really nailed them, I love it.

That said, you really didn't even bother to do an empty reload when recording it to show people? :|

What about the fact that there is a dedicated AA vehicle?

Ha! You mean the Artillery variant that will never get chosen because players are too busy whoring the A7V, Landship, FT-17, and standard Artillery Truck (i.e. every vehicle but)? Good luck with that!

Some people knew this stat, albeit it was irrelevant, many had never heard of it, and JSLICE20 thinks that this is the pinnacle of gaming sciene.

Come again? I actually have no idea what you're talking about...
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

The empty reload is very subtle, 0.00 - 0.05 is an empty reload. It shows the clip holding the magazine being engaged by slapping the magazine. The Full reload is very smilar, minus that part. 0.13 is a full reload. It is quite easy to miss though.

And yes the bullets on the side go down, which I must say triggered a nerdgasm :]

Derp, I even noticed something was different there. I'd forgotten that the Chauchat locks open when empty, which means (due to being an open bolt MG) the player actually has no reason to ever touch the charging handle. They could have made both reloads identical, but they added a little flair to the empty one, which is nice.

Yea, its really evident that a lot of love went into this gun :P. It sounds very similar to its real life version being fired in Ian's video. I am not sure how relevant this is but the martini henry also sounds very similar to its real version.
