0.16 Hrecoil was negligible; that's 0.08 per side. Slapping on another 0.06 per side isn't going to invalidate the Huot by any means; much ado about nothing. The bipod brings it back down to 0.07 total Hrecoil anyway. It's a very, very small price to pay for actually good damage output.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

Funny thing, while using the new Vetterli-Vitali rifle I actually found myself missing out on OHKs for being too far away trying to clear people off a objective area. 50m is apparently much shorter range than what I can estimate.

As an American, I do think in terms of yards, but those are nearly equivalent measures of distance. However, two points about the Vetterli, in its sweetspot, it only does 100 max damage, so it won't produce 1 HKs to the lower body and upper arms, and legs and forearms (0.96x). Though, if I sit myself 10 or 20 m outside flag (as it displays the distance), it does always surprise me how close to the flag I am. I don't think distance is render quite same in the game as in right life.

"75% more recoil" is sensationalism. 75% of a very small amount is still a very small amount.

Also, even 6HK at range is still a substanial buff.

So is a 5HK at range, but you don't see them getting recoil nerfs.

Having played the CTE huot, I can say that it is much more of an all rounder than it already was. Still, the 0.14 side to side recoil is a very noticeably change. Fortunately, it's single shot potential has gone through the roof. I am currently not sure what its new niche is, unless the rest of the LMGS get a hor recoil increase and/or bipod nerf.

The Optical version is noticeably more stable, save for the visual recoil.

I MUST be missing something painfully obvious. Why the hell would anyone use the Lewis over the Perino? Worse Hrec, Vrec, mag size, FSRM, base spread, velocity. Lewis has a tiny bit better hipfire, and RoF is a whopping 7% faster. ?(

That's my problem. Part of the machine gun buffs was to NOT have the Perino M1908 invalidate the Huot and Lewis. Yet, with the suggested changes, the advantages of using either the Lewis or Huot seem quite marginal compared to what you gain if you use the Perino M1908 instead. They are a bit more "mobile," but really, a 120-round hopper that works much better than a belt for chronic reloaders (such as I) is just too damn good to give up.

What do you guys think of the TTK change? Is it enough to make weapons feel more powerful?

Today I hopped back onto BF3 and I was given the feel of the Battlefield magic. M16A3 with HBar feels dirty, but M16A3 without Hbar or M4A1 with Hbar feels just right, while M4A1 without Hbar feels weak. This leads me to think that the sweet spot in TTK is in the 300-450ms range. And it does not look like BF1 is hitting the sweet spot for me, even accounting for TTK change. Really want to know what you guys think, especially from lower-TTK advocates.
