Glad i found this thread lol. I was using the lewis for a long time and wondering why planes dont even bat an eye when im shooting them. Now with the MG15 they are doing aero tricks and flips and barrel rolls to avoid my bullets. I can actually get kills now!

The rate of fire is the lowest in the class, but the new Perino M1908 may be a viable option. With that, you can fire 65 rounds before overheating, it seems. It looks to be far more controllable than the MG 15 n.A. also.

We know that Perino has 23-19 damage model but we still don't know its muzzle velocity. IRL it uses 6.5x52mm Carcano, same as Cei-Riggoti, which has 700 m/s muzzle velocity in BF1. If Perino in BF1 has 700 m/s muzzle velocity - it's even worse than Lewis against planes.

We know that Perino has 23-19 damage model

I thought I saw the Perino registering damage hits of 14 and 15 at range in DooM49's video from the Gamescom event.

Or I was wrong or got lucky to hit enemy at range where it does 19 damage:

If it has 15 min damage - it's even worse for AA role.

So, Perino has 820 m\s muzzle velocity and 23-15 damage model, thanks to recent Data Browser update. Better than Lewis against planes, but MG15 and Para14\17 are better, IHMO.

Higher min damage is going to win out for damage against planes. Velocity is an important factor to consider, but a lackluster velocity can be worked around by learning the lead necessary to hit a moving target (or watching the tracers). Shitty min damage cannot be worked around; it is a statistical limitation.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho
