I'd like to see the ADS-only ranking (moving plus not moving) out of curiosity.

I actually have a Tab just for that in the Source Google Sheets. It also has another Tab combining both Hipfire Moving and Not Moving.

I thought about presenting this kind of "combined" data, and would make sense for Hipfire. However, in ADS Moving and Not Moving we have distinctive Variants that caters to one but not the other (Optical for mostly Moving and a little bit Not Moving, Telescopic / Marksman for ONLY Not Moving), so they kind of need to be separately ranked. Hipfire on the other hand is only affected by Trench or not.

As a comment, I feel like in practice muzzle velocity matters a lot more than 5%. How did you choose its share of the total?

It's 10%, scored 100 / 1000. Also, I believe it matters less the closer you are, so I decided to score it by calculating the number of 60Hz Frames the projectile takes to travel the distance. Thus at 1m, every gun takes 1 Frame to hit the target, and thus every gun scores 100. At 125m, the range is between 0.15s of the 8mm Mauser G98 and LMGs for 100 score, to the No. 3 Revolver's 0.6s with a score of 25.

Thanks - what a beautiful spreadsheet that is. So with the 1900 Slug and an essentially 200 point damage target with only two slugs per reload, how does it score so highly compared to other weapons?

So with the 1900 Slug and an essentially 200 point damage target with only two slugs per reload, how does it score so highly compared to other weapons?

Time to Shoot and then Recover is 500 / 1000, while Time to Reload is 100 / 1000. So, even at the extreme case of 75m ADS Moving, the 1900 Slug scores 500 + 15.625 = 515.625 vs. MP 18 Optical scores 302.3758099 + 69.44444444 = 371.82025434

Also, the 1900 Slug's Reload is actually not that bad, when you look at the actual Time required for the rounds fired.. At the same 75m ADS Moving scenario, I have the 1900 Slug needing to fire 20x to reach the 2 * 100 Damage Target. At 2.4s to put in 2x shells, that takes 24s.

The SMLE Marksman at 75m, which is within its vaunted Sweetspot, just needs 2 hits to reach the Damage Target. However, due to its ADS Moving Spread being 2x of the 1900 Slug, I project that the Marksman needs to shoot 40x to reach the same Damage Target. That means 1.233s (pre-reload delay) + 1.767s (stripper clip #1 for 5x) + 1.767s (stripper clip #2 for another 5x) + 0.633s (post-reload delay) = 5.4s for 10x, and you need to repeat that 4x, total 21.6s... not much faster than the double-barrel shotgun.

By looking at these scenarios, I realised that for internal-magazine guns in BF1, having a high capacity is not necessarily a blessing... it can be a curse at certain bullet counts.

Can you please use colors that can be viewed properly on a dark background? I can't see any of the assault weapon stats without highlighting them.

How should the 1900 slug be fired?

1v1?

Up to 20m Hipfire Not Moving, 17m Hipfire Moving, 33m ADS Moving, 40m ADS Not Moving, fire both barrels simultaneously.

Beyond those ranges, tap-fire at 258RPM / once every 0.2333333333s.

Silly me didn't know you can fire both slugs at the same time. How do you do that? I am on console if that is matters.

Also while you have the ranking overall do you have the updated for the ranking of the weapons with out the ease of use and just for the time to kill and shooting/recovery score for the different ranges?

Also while I am asking, do you know of a source to check all the different optimal click/ fire rate for each gun?

Well, to be honest with you, I don't know either. I believe that is possible, but I've never tried it myself... and probably never will because I do not play as Assault (nor Scout).

The reason why I said that is that up to those ranges, the 2nd shot has good enough Hitrate despite SIPS that I think you should fire it, without pausing to recover Spread. If the Model 1900 does not have the option to fire both barrels with one mouse click, then instead you should fire them as fast as the game allows you. Similar to a semi-auto gun tap-firing at maximum rate, and full-auto gun holding down the trigger.

You can go to the Google Sheets and sort Column H in the Aggregate tabs, but since that component is 40% of total, that ranking will somewhat mirror the one that takes everything into account. For the individual stances, sort Column CY.

The most useful part of a solely Firing Score ranking, is to see where the various Revolvers will end up, as they embody risk vs. reward.

Change the fire mode (on consoles, you press down on the D-pad IIRC). From what I've heard, there is actually like 1 frame between the shots, so it is subjext to spread increase and recoil.
