The Perino's control advantage is certainly more than "slight". Like I said, this is my opinion assuming the TTK patch goes through... which means they'll both have the same DPS.
Well, Perino, Lewis and Hout would have exactly 20 min damage, which means that they would heavily suffer from random limb shots. And they would have increased recoil, so M1917 should be even better than them now.

Another vote for Madsen Trench. I find it to be equivalent to the Assault's Ribeyrolles in Hipfire performance, thus definitely beating out the Hellriegel. Not much surprise there since it is a Trench. What is more surprising is that I also find it to be the equal to the Medic's Auto-8 .35 Marksman in ADS performance.

50m ADS Not Moving, times shoot to kill 2x 100hp target then recover:

Auto-8 .35 Marksman - 2x 5RB, takes 2s
Madsen Trench - 1x 10RB + 1x 8RB, takes 1.983s

Then of course the Auto-8 will need 6.468s to reload, while the Madsen only needs 2.65s. Even discounting that though, the above results surprised me. This is bore out in my playing experience.

Hence myself having higher KpM as a Support Main now, and I just run the Quick Regen Specialisation for my health needs, while the Ammo Pouch gives me unlimited ammo and grenades.

(Yes the BAR Trench is even better, but using the BAR makes you "that guy." Don't be "that guy." The Madsen is criminally under-used IMO)

Well dang. I’m gonna give the Madsen Trench a try! And having more ammo than the BAR is a plus, probably makes up for the slightly slower fire rate

I like the M1917 Browning Telescopic because of the bullet and overheat.

What it really shines with is its synergy with Pin Down and Unbreakable.

It fires long enough to actually put Pin Down to good use and doesn't have poor ranged damage.

Passive Spotting is the future!

With this, I'll rid MGO3 of infestation. Sans bad gameplay MGO3 will be torn asunder. And then it shall be free. People will suffer, of course - a phantom pain.

Reddit and Konami will rewrite the records... And I will be demonized in human memory. But... The thirst for good gameplay that I have planted will infest MGO3. No one can stop it now. The Rebalance Mod will unleash that thirst unto the future.

I dont know about the Browning telescopic, but for the BM telescopic is painful to use under the current TTK.

It takes so long to kill an actual person, that is moving and dancing, that it is better for you to not shoot at all. If you have to move closer, you are better off with the iron sight variants.

Personally Madsen wins it for me, with 1.25x for LW and 1.5x for Storm. The accuracy I got for the Madsen is also among the highest out of all LMGs.

I generally agree with you. The M1917 (Low Weight for me) is really fun to use, but it's just so slow. I second @NoctyrnSaga that it requires the combination of Unbroken + Pin Down + M1917 in >1 second bursts for it to really be effective.

I pretty much run nothing but:

Long range offensive: Madsen LW

Long range defensive: M1917 LW (because here I only care about quantity not quality - my teammates can mop up suppressed and winged enemies)

Mid-range PTFO: Madsen LW

Mid-range defensive: Parabellum LW

Repair: Madsen Storm for reliability

CQC: Parabellum LW

I like that list! Makes sense. Curious of how your preferences will change once the weapon balance changes come out! Or do you think this won’t change much for your preferences?

M1917 will get the biggest bump of the lot, so I suspect I’ll be using that more than I am currently, particularly on defense even into mid-range. I think Huot will be quite good as well for mid-range versatility and offensive maneuvering. It may replace the Madsen in a mid-range loadout (but not in a repair loadout because it’s moving spread is highly inferior to the Madsen Storm/LW. The Parabellum will receive the smallest bump due to its superior fire rate, but I can’t imagine shelving it in CQC scenarios.

I have purchased premium for $15 on sale, and I have finally gotten some satisfying kills out of it, Chauchat 3BTK on Fort de Vaux. That TTK should be standard across the board. No satisfying kills in medium range still though.

With the new TTk update on the CTE that makes the ADS times much worse for LMGs, do your recommendations change at all? What are your thoughts on the Chauchat with this upcoming TTK patch? I used to use it a lot for close quarter maps, LW version so good for hip fire. I've switched to the Parabellum after it came out, and haven't used the Chauchat since.
I am also worried that the M1917 telescopic will become worse to use with the lessened bipod buff, worse time to ADS...
I love playing support, just wish there were more clear options on which guns are best for what scenarios.

What are your thoughts on the Chauchat with this upcoming TTK patch?

I think the Chauchat LW, M1917 LW, and Huot LW will be incredibly good post patch. The Parabellum and Madsen will remain good. I think the BAR (ADS speed nerf) and MG15 (bipod nerf) will suffer comparatively as all the TTKs get pulled closer together

I will also have a very very special Chauchat section when I make my Medic Rifle TTK-Patch Scoring thread next week. What does this have to do with the Chauchat you might ask? Single firing the Chauchat's new damage model is unbelievably effective if you treat it like an SLR even with first shot multipliers. I am guessing it will look at lot like the M1907 Factory when all is said and done, with better moving spread and a better damage model.
