So with the newer weapons currently out, and the ones coming soon (browning lmg i believe it was?)

what is a more updated verdict on the subject?

If the TTK/Bipod changes go thru, I'd say...

Close: Parabellum LW
Long: Browning Tele
All around: Perino LW

As someone who mostly plays support, I知 curious why the Perino LW over the Browning LW, for your all around
choice? The Browning has better damage drop off, while the Perino has slightly better control.
I REALLY wanted to like the Perino (maybe I will once the weapon patch comes out), but man, I really struggle with it. It feels like it trickles health so slowly from enemies.
Maybe I知 using it wrong. Any advice/tips for it?

I'd say there's no contest right now, the Perino's 7HK makes it trash next to the Browning. Post-rebalance, they should be a much more equal pair.

The Perino's control advantage is certainly more than "slight". Like I said, this is my opinion assuming the TTK patch goes through... which means they'll both have the same DPS.

I'd still give the Benet Tele a slight edge over the Browning as a countersniper, and I love the Madsen Low Weight for tank repping duties. Chauchat LW is also great for this. Both have great swap times, hipfire, CQC damage, and can still reach out and touch someone on the bipod if need be.

I'm mostly a scout or medic player, but my picks;

Parabellum low weight (defensive? scopes on an LMG are for soyboys); when you ABSOLUTELY need everyone in the room to die and don't care about collateral. Not very practical at longer ranges without the bipod down though.

Madsen MG Storm/Trench: Maybe the best all-arounder, decent TTK and very managable recoil even on the trench version.

BAR Storm/Trench: I personally prefer the storm so I can consistently hit stuff full auto from longer distances, however the trench is also extremely nice.

Interesting! I値l need to give the Madsen another go. I致e rarely used it.
Since the Brownings min damage is considerably higher than the Perino, do you think it will be better for longer range engagements than the Perino, or does the Perinos better control make up for that?

Wow, now I知 really curious to give the Madsen another go.
My highest TTK LMG is the Parabellum LW, followed by Chauchat then the Bar Storm.

For Madsen, any preference on variant? Not the LW?

Trench. It's very good for "run 'n gun" type of gameplay. And it still good for shooting when ADS.
Sorry for my bad english - it's not my native language and I have difficulties with acquiring speaking/writing practice in my country. If I accidently insult you or say something wrong - I'm sorry, you can feel free to correct me.

Another vote for Madsen Trench. I find it to be equivalent to the Assault's Ribeyrolles in Hipfire performance, thus definitely beating out the Hellriegel. Not much surprise there since it is a Trench. What is more surprising is that I also find it to be the equal to the Medic's Auto-8 .35 Marksman in ADS performance.

50m ADS Not Moving, times shoot to kill 2x 100hp target then recover:

Auto-8 .35 Marksman - 2x 5RB, takes 2s
Madsen Trench - 1x 10RB + 1x 8RB, takes 1.983s

Then of course the Auto-8 will need 6.468s to reload, while the Madsen only needs 2.65s. Even discounting that though, the above results surprised me. This is bore out in my playing experience.

Hence myself having higher KpM as a Support Main now, and I just run the Quick Regen Specialisation for my health needs, while the Ammo Pouch gives me unlimited ammo and grenades.

(Yes the BAR Trench is even better, but using the BAR makes you "that guy." Don't be "that guy." The Madsen is criminally under-used IMO)

Also Assault and Support are much more effective at Infantry killing than Medic.
