Best support weapon?

I'm wondering is there a support gun that is just head and shoulders above the rest? Or if not, is there one that comes close?

BAR Telescopic seems like a legit choice for this role.

Absolutely the BAR Telescopic.

EDIT: You'll need to learn to burst fire it at medium-ranges if deploying the bipod isn't feasible though.

BAR Trench is the absolute best up close, Madsen Trench is the most versatile, best all rounder and Huot is best at range.

the BAR Telescoping is a really good "LMG".

You can do 7 round burst and need to control the recoil good.
And when you have the moment you can bipod and lay down crazy fast fire at even further distances.

@Mesmus

What are you specifically looking for in your quest for the "best" LMG? 'Best' is a relative term from person to person and playstyle to playstyle.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

Ah yes, I love how you can snipe people with the Madsen Trench.
Standard hipfire, a minimum of 2.5x ADS zoom (yuck), more sight sway, same moving spread, and 20 round mag. BAR Telescopic sucks up close. I'd say Madsen Trench is handily better up close and still effective out to beyond your average engagement range. This is what makes it the best all rounder for me.

Trench hipfire in this game is a huge CQC advantage.

You know that they recently fixed the sight sway on all zooms.
I personally would use the Chauchat LW or the BAR Telescopic.
