I find the worst thing about snipers is when they are all on my team and no-one is pushing goddamn point!

Getting iced from afar repeatedly is annoying, but shit me i'd rather crucify all the automatico players pounding me from so close i can feel their breath on my neck

I dont play scout often but isnt that what scouts are supposed to do? I dont think they gave them 10x scopes so they can sit on an objective but maybe im wrong.

But yea i hate spawning in the middle of a wide open map and usually try to avoid it when possible.

talking about 10x scopes...
how can anyone play with those things? not only is the maximum effective range of sniper rifles around 300 meters, but those scopes make aiming almost impossible, seriously it is nowhere near the kind of sniping of bf3 with a 12xscope, here the 10X is utterly absurd, i'm way more comfortable sniping at extreme ranges(really, any range where a bullet will reach the target) with a 4X marksman scope than those things, and i also don't get glint like that.

talking about 10x scopes...

10x is ok if you plan to use the 1903 from E/F on Fao to B/C/D/G since it gives you the clearest sight, but outside of that map I can't use it either.

5x works pretty well for the sweet spot ranges of the G.98 and maybe 1895, but I run irons or carbine variants at 2x for anything shorter range than that.

If 10x is giving you trouble you could also tweak the sensitivity of 10x zoom on advanced setting and see if you can make it feel comfortable.

it's not even the sensitivity, ist's the zoom itself, it feels like bf4's 20X scope, almost up to te levels of 40X, anytthing more than 5X i feel is overkill in this game regardless of range, as it makes movements inside the optic way too extreme and targets too easy to lose.

i'll try to post comparison pictures at 300 meters later(though even at 500 meters i feel 10X it's too much)

Yeah I am solely using x5 scopes or x4 scopes for the marksman. Makes the rifle usable in most ranges.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Recon players using sniper rifles have basically been a net loss in most of the prior titles where other infantry classes had robust "all range" options and the map design and ticket bleeding really emphasized crushing flags.

In BF1 weapon meta, map design and the scoring structure all make recon much more viable. K bullets + BAs are really powerful mid-long range for more defensive play.

But like anything there is a critical mass of recons where it starts hurting your team.

Big diff this time around is that recon is an objectively very powerful class, unlike prior titles where it has really been bushwookie focused - despite the power of the sensor/spawn gadgets.
