MGs absolutely demolish SMGs for sustained fire, which you'll need to be dropping people reliably at range.

That said, if the MP 18 and Ribeyrolles didn't outrange the BAR they'd be trash, and the latter of the two does fire rifle rounds.

But that said, the Automatico really does work, and work very well, past the supposed max range of 12m people like to say it has.
Who has fun, wins.

The BAR Storm has lower horizontal recoil than the MP 18 in addition to negative spread, how could the MP 18 possibly outrange the BAR?

If an SMG user is outranging you past 20 meters, he's most likely burst firing which increases his TTK, while you hold the trigger down until you're laser accurate (and throwing his aim off with the higher LMG suppression). I'd say this is operator error, but I might be wrong.

At anything over 20M, LMG vs SMG should be no contest (make that 12 for the Automatico). Yet TTK of the Automatico beats the BAR storm out to 40M.

This is on-paper TTK (100% accuracy at max RoF at all ranges) which doesn't incorporate dispersion of any kind like Hrecoil, base spread, and spread increase. These TTKs serve as a good base, but won't be actualized in true gameplay unless we're talking close range or ranges where any dispersion factors won't affect TTK.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Is there an argument that the squadwipemachine Hellriegel is bestgun in the hands of a skilled player in pubic matches?

I have almost 80 SS with it and my KPM and accuracy with it (1.8 & 25%) is higher than all variants of the Automatico (with well over a 100 SS). I find that compared to the Automatico, I get way better mid-range performance against almost every other class while firing in short bursts, fewer deaths while reloading and the ridiculously low vertical recoil means it's just a very convenient gun to use to slay a bunch of noobs.

I have a 2.7 infantry K/D and play mostly on foot with an SPM of 1100.

Smaller sample size on the Hellriegel (as far as KPM goes), yes I know, but in my experience it's just an average gun whether you're pubbing or not. MP18 is far more accurate and Automatico shreds in its effective range. You die less while reloading with the Hellriegel because it doesn't need to be reloaded every 2 kills, so you'll usually be on the clear while with the Automatico you could miss and find yourself dry due to the rate of fire.

SPM of 1600~on my case.

Ah, the numbers don't lie. Hellriegel IS bestgun. /s

I find it to be the most versatile SMG, since it kills quite quickly up close (and you're most likely to win most gunfights as long as you're not against an Automatico or Shotgun) and reaches quite far out where you shouldn't even be engaging other classes with an SMG, but since we're working within ranges where accuracy isn't as important as RoF it just works best for me especially against groups of enemies around objective areas. Also, since the Ribeyrolles' introduction, there's really no point to the MP 18 imo. That gun performs amazingly well at range without even being bipoded.

If one is playing the Assault to under 22m, there is no reason to be using the Ribeyolles over the MP18. The latter has significantly better hipfire and moving spread; this allows it to land more shots on target while mobile under 22m. The Ribeyolles cannot achieve this same accuracy because it has much greater spread while on-the-move (~0.5 degrees greater spread), resulting in several missed bullets and an extended time to kill.

Picking the Ribeyolles means that one is most effective within 22-28m, where the MP18's jumps from a 5 BTK to a 6 BTK and is not accurate enough to match the former. The Ribeyolles maintains a degree of competence to about 38m, where it jumps from a 6 to a 7 BTK and cannot compete with other primary weapon classes.
