Struggling with 8.35 factory

As the title suggests I've been using the factory variant and I having trouble with it, I always play decently by the end of the round but during I feel frustrated, I'm constantly swapping for my side arm and getting downed.
As a new user of this gun what are some tips for me? (Also in on PS4 if that matters)

Use the Marksman instead. It's better concerning less ADS base spread and less spread increase, and 2.50x magnification is pretty decent for medium range engagements while not being too high for close quarters aiming if or when necessary. The Hip spread isn't too bad either for dire situations when ADS isn't an option,but don't rely too heavily on it.

Note: The following will be consistent with 5-rounders in general.

But if you insist on using the Factory, then make sure to choose your engagements wisely and focus on good positioning. This means ensuring you are placed near some form of cover to shoot and retreat to for reloads and putting the proper distance between you and your foe to capitalize on your advantages. Pick a sidearm that deploys quickly or packs a punch to bail yourself out of bad situations if or when they come to pass.

Aim assist will help you dearly if you don't care for being a purist. It locks onto hit-boxes (capsules) by centering your aim, ADS or Hip and it essentially reduces the impact that recoil and spread have on the weapon since it attracts to the center mass of an opponent. It automatically tracks the hit-box effectively removing the need to reacquire the target after a shot or if the target moves; very little input is required for fast and accurate shots with Aim Assist Slowdown and Auto Rotation. It's so good that this has tempted me to reactivate this feature.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Factory is perfectly fine.... The Marksman scope has more "scope sway," due to not being able to choose either 1.25x or 2x for the magnification.. It is also slower to ADS.

Factory will also have lower Recoil, even during firing.

The Marksman does have better Initial Spread, plus the ability to go up to 4x Zoom... but that is kinda a "false advantage" because its 660m/s Velocity and 4BTK at range both work against it for that type of work.

But some people just HATES Iron Sights, so that still outweighs all the disadvantages listed above. And that's fine too.

Anyways, my "tip" for the 5rnds SLRs... so both the Auto-8 .35 and the Luger 1906... is to NOT pull the trigger until you are confident that you are on target. You just don't have the ammo capacity to muck about.

Once you're certain that the 1st shot will connect, though, then just WAIL on the trigger and blast off all 5 rounds as fast as you can. They both shoot quite quickly, plus BF1 has "shot queing," so you don't have to worry about "click rates" or anything like that. Just go BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM.

If you have a good chunk of target to shoot at, these 2 guns have low-ish H-Recoil to help you land at least 3-4 of the 5 that you fired. That should get you the kill before the target can even react.

Then, if that's the only target, start the relatively-quick Full Reload. If there's another guy, then pull out the Mle M1903 and use that.

Yeah, up to 4.00x is misleading. I've found that 2.50x or 3.00x (really depends) suits the type of engagements the Marksman would be good for.

Both of these are excellent advice, I still need to focus on trigger discipline with mobile targets...oh, but stationary targets from 10m-30m? Instantly dead; no doubt about it. Recoil management is even necessary at this set of ranges.

I have to disagree there with my buddies posts. Also on PS4 here.

With Auto aim on you'll reach a certain level of proficiency then plateau, also the rotation only works on the initial snap to and the following shots which needs to be corrected as there is lateral recoil.

Painful at first but tracking and aiming sans auto rotation will improve you're overall performance with SLRs.
When starting out fire slowly making your shots count and not to be too pressured by missing or dying. And use just the model 8.
Co-ordination and reflexes develop gradually without you noticing. Then gradually fire quicker.
When you are confident of of landing at least 3 of 5 most of the time, practise snapping to unleash hate and immediately shift position while hitting triangle.

Yeah, Auto Rotation acts as the 'snap to target' and then the Slowdown 'follows the target.' So while Auto Rotation doesn't snap after every shot (just with every tap of the ADS trigger), Slowdown tracks the hit-box that you snapped to. This is the function that mitigates the effects of recoil and spread through locking the point of aim onto center mass.

What's the best side arm to pair it with? Been using the auto revolver but I'm not sure that's the best option.

Your Hip fire aim has to be pretty darn good to use the Revolvers effectively as a bail out sidearm. Ideally, you want a pistol that draws quickly to continue damage output and not necessarily one that hits hard or is terribly unforgiving of misses. The Mle 1903 is an excellent pair for the Autoloading 8 .35 as it shares the same RPM, does 30 max damage and draws in 0.45s. the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Use the Marksman instead. It's better concerning less ADS base spread and less spread increase, and 2.50x magnification is pretty decent for medium range engagements while not being too high for close quarters aiming if or when necessary. The Hip spread isn't too bad either for dire situations when ADS isn't an option,but don't rely too heavily on it.

Note: The following will be consistent with 5-rounders in general.

But if you insist on using the Factory, then make sure to choose your engagements wisely and focus on good positioning. This means ensuring you are placed near some form of cover to shoot and retreat to for reloads and putting the proper distance between you and your foe to capitalize on your advantages. Pick a sidearm that deploys quickly or packs a punch to bail yourself out of bad situations if or when they come to pass.

Aim assist will help you dearly if you don't care for being a purist. It locks onto hit-boxes (capsules) by centering your aim, ADS or Hip and it essentially reduces the impact that recoil and spread have on the weapon since it attracts to the center mass of an opponent. It automatically tracks the hit-box effectively removing the need to reacquire the target after a shot or if the target moves; very little input is required for fast and accurate shots with Aim Assist Slowdown and Auto Rotation. It's so good that this has tempted me to reactivate this feature.

Interesting, so for reducing recoil and spread with aim assist are you saying that it is aim slowdown... auto rotation... or both on?

Aim Assist in and of itself doesn't directly reduce recoil or spread values, what it does do is lock onto and track center mass hit-boxes which indirectly reduces the severity of recoil and spread.

Auto Rotation acts as the 'snap to target' and then the Slowdown 'follows the target.' So while Auto Rotation doesn't snap after every shot (just with every tap of the ADS trigger), Slowdown tracks the hit-box that you snapped to. This is the function that mitigates the effects of recoil and spread through locking the point of aim onto center mass.

Spread works as a cone. This cone has an initial angle which is the minimum spread of a weapon. When you shoot a weapon, the shot will disperse within this specific angle; with each shot this angle increases so the cone grows wider, therefore the dispersion increases. Since Auto Rotation snaps to center mass, you have a much higher chance of hitting the target because the cone of fire is much smaller than the target itself. At times it's nearly impossible to miss.

The secondary aspect, Slowdown, follows the same area that Auto Rotation snapped to making target tracking a breeze. An enemy player can dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge all they want but Slowdown will track em' nice and deep quick like. Slowdown doesn't lead targets, so a very minimal amount of input is required from the Slowdown user to trace mobile targets. The Slowdown is what mitigates the impact of recoil.

I would recommend watching one of KriticalKris' weapon review videos just to see how good Aim Assist is. One of his videos showed up in my 'Recommended' section of videos on YouTube and I couldn't believe how strong Aim Assist actually is. I've had it off for a couple months now, but by looking at how easy it is to aim and shoot it has certainly caused a little intrigue to flip it back on.
