Does anyone think the mainstream will cry OP for the new weapons?

I havent played with the new weapons so I wont say anything thus far. I will say, however that looking at the stats, These are very strong weapons. The ribeyrolles carbine has the range and power of the huot and lewis, the sjorgen 12 almost makes the m1897 obsolete, the RSC1917 has the stopping power of the gasser out to 44 meters and the lebel is probably the most balanced.
Again, I refuse to say anything yet because I havent played with the guns but does anyone think that these weapons may need to be tuned down or think the general community will cry OP?

I'm not gonna say anything definitive until I've gotten my hands on these weapons. However I will say that the Chauchat and RSC 1917 have some serious potential in terms of TTK. Chauchat's is identical to Model 8 .35 (a weapon I've grown very fond of over the past month) within its max damage range. The RSC is beaten by the Auto 8 but nothing else can touch it from what I can tell.

Ribeyrolles looks interesting. It appears to be a better ranged option for Assault than the MP 18 Experimental by the looks of it. This alone makes me interested in it at the very least.

The Lebel will likely not surpass the SMLE Mk. III if neither weapon's stats change. The longer time to reload the entire eight-round tube magazine (vs. two stripper clips of five rounds each) plus the less than ideal sweet spot will assure this.

I believe thew chauchat has a 3 hit kill range of 12 meters, Outside of that, the model 8 35 is still king

So it's beaten by the OP gun, the OP guns people are afraid of using, and Shotguns, which are instant kill.

Sjorgen requires all pellets to hit for OHK, Chauchat and RSC1917 both have slow firerate, so if you miss just one shot = you die. Lebel is not OP anywhere and I don't know yet - is it faster to load K bullet on M1903 Experimetal than on Lebel? =D
Ribeyrolles has 550 RPM and Hellriegel's hip spread - not the best CQB choice already.

So I don't see an OPness here, but RSC has something great in it - 6 bullets in mag, so it can kill 3 guys up close and 2 on distance, what .35 and Luger can't without headshots.
Sorry for my bad english - it's not my native language and I have difficulties with acquiring speaking/writing practice in my country. If I accidently insult you or say something wrong - I'm sorry, you can feel free to correct me.

Does anyone know if the Ribeyrolle 1918 Carbine has a higher ranged damage model than the MP18 or is it identical?

It is near the same as the lewis and huot except the 6 and 7 shot kill start two meters closer with the ribeyrolles than with the lewis or huot. the advantages of the two lmgs is the accuracy of sustained fire, less recoil better mag size (for lewis) and better velocity. the ribeyrolles without the bipod really suffers from the 4X 1st shot spread penalty. like other SMGs (or carbine in this case) the 1st shot is decently accurate but autofire just sprays all over the place but I guess thats what the bipod is for

If mainstreamers are synonymous with casuals then, inevitably, yes. Casual players have little knowledge of what actually constitutes as 'overpowered' and consequently call everything they think (keyword: think) is really good or the best as 'overpowered.' Basically, any feedback that a player of this quality has towards the subject of 'overpowered' is not to be closely examined or seriously considered because the probability is that they haven't the slightest clue as to what they are talking about.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

Cue complaining about automatico and Model 10 buck on Argonne.

Have yet to play a single round on that map where someone isn't whining about one or both of those.
