The absolute longest sweet spot range is 150m, so no, that mechanic does not contribute to hill camping.

The only balance adjustments we need in relation to Sniper Rifles is for Suppression to really affect them properly, and to give them at least some amount of spread, just like every other weapon type uses to determine effective range. These are how you stop hill camping.
The sweet spot by itself doesn't encourage hill camping, but increased velocity and higher minimum damage definitely does.
Except BAs now also have drag, which is a massive nerf to long range hill camping. With drag bullet drop and travel time is much harder to gauge, but mainly at 250-300+ meter ranges.

The higher velocity and sweet spots raised the skill floor for BAs and made them actually worthwhile to use for objective play, while drag (and map design) makes hillcamping less effective than before.

And reading Youtube comments still gives me Turbo Cancer.

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

Exactly.

Would you rather have snipers at 500m doing fuck-all for the team, or scouts at 100m covering your back, and enemy scouts at 100m that you can actually see and retaliate against, even with non-scout weapons.

Sniper meta is in a MUCH better place than it was in BF4.
