Nerf to SLRs is ludicrous

I will try to avoid ranting as much as possible but this to me is frustratingly absurd in some aspects
I do not see why SLRs are getting nerfed the way they are ESPECIALLY the factory variants. factory variants were JUST made MUCH more viable but now with the new CTE patch, not so much. What irritates me the most is that DICE decided that they would greatly increase horizontal recoil on the m1907SL but now they are making it EVEN WORSE than before the buff.
M1907SL Factory Pre winter patch:
Spread decrease:7.5
Recoil decrease: 6
Horizontal recoil: .42--.42

M1907SL Factory Winter patch:
Spread decrease:7.5
Recoil decrease: 7
Horizontal recoil: .35--.35

M1907SL DLC1 CTE Patch:Spread decrease: 6
Recoil decrease: 5.25
Horizontal recoil: .60--.60
Spread increase: .20 from .25

*gritsteethgritsteethgritsteethThe slight decrease in spread is not worth the near DOUBLING in horizontal recoil. This change is 100% completely idiotic and unnecessary.
Does anyone know other than the regular battlefield forums and reddit where we can give feedback to the developers? I cant log into the sub reddit of BF1 and im banned from battlefield forums (for reasons ;) )

EDIT: here is the CTE patch notes for those who have no idea as to what I am talking about

The 1907 is a CQB SLR.

I don't quite see the problem with it being inaccurate.

Passive Spotting is the future!

With this, I'll rid MGO3 of infestation. Sans bad gameplay MGO3 will be torn asunder. And then it shall be free. People will suffer, of course - a phantom pain.

Reddit and Konami will rewrite the records... And I will be demonized in human memory. But... The thirst for good gameplay that I have planted will infest MGO3. No one can stop it now. The Rebalance Mod will unleash that thirst unto the future.

It's already sucks at mid range, but THAT amount of Hrec increase is insane even for CQB - Beretta M1918 has the same Hrec(in CTE patch), lol.

Yeah, the M1907 is a CQB SLR, but the pre-patch damage model, low velocity and quite high Hrec (0.7-0.84 depending on patch) already kept it from competing at range.

I don't quite see the reasoning behind giving it a massive 1.2 total degrees of Hrec. I don't say that increased Hrec wasn't warranted (I have great confidence in the people doing the balancing), but this increase seems a bit excessive.

Similarly, I'm not convinced the M1916 needed to get it's Hrec nearly doubled from 0.6 to 1.06. Unlike the M1907 the M1916 isn't a CQB SLR. The same goes for the Mondragon, which went from 0.64 to 0.9 - a near 50 % increase on another non-CQB SLR.

I doubt that the increase was motivated by their damage on target at range. To me it seems more like the intention is to penalize ease-of-use (magazine-based reloads and >5 round magazines), probably in an effort to nudge the playerbase away from the M1916 and M1907. I'm not convinced that nerfs of this scale was warranted though...

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

I don't see how you can have confidence in people doing the balancing when they just released a retail patch substantially buffing the 1907, only to turn around and nerf it in the CTE worse than it was pre-retail patch.

That is absurd.

It is CTE though, mistakes or wrong builds might slip through, and testing might also justify drastic changes that will never make it into the retail version.

You are right, though, some changes do seem overdone.

I mean it's pretty much what Vincent is mentioning. CTE doesn't mean it'll make it to live.

Still a decent possibility these changes will happen. Hope feedback changes their minds

CTE is like PTR. something may just in there but never get out to the public. But I can still foresee that they will make some further adjustment to SLR in general.

I just don't see the justification for why this extreme state needs to even be tested in the first place.

Massive nerfing to the 1907 is just going to push more people to "git gud" with the model 8 fac.
