If the five-round mag doesn't agree with you, I'd give the Cei-Rigotti a serious try; it's my second-favourite Medic rifle.

The Cei's Visual Recoil with iron sights can be pretty jarring though, it bounces side-to-side something fierce.
Who has fun, wins.

Ive been trying this on and off. While its probably my favourite medic gun, im not sure i like it.
I think its more my playstyle, than the gun. Im very aggressive, and this just isnt suited to multiple targets, even with the sidearm as backup. I have to play a lot slower and cautious, which gets me killed a lot. I prefer to rarely stop moving.

Even with 34% accuracy, which i think is reasonable? I often whiff a whole mag! I feel Medic just doesnt have any guns that i gel with. I long to play medic, but the guns are just meh for me.
I just use the .25 extended and play a much closer game. Works really well if you're the second or third man into a fight as part of a squad. The extended is a better gun than the .35 at close range and it operates fairly similar to the .35, so you can swap between them when you need that mid range punch fairly fluidly.

I only just had my AL 8.35 epiphany today. I hope I can be somewhat excused though, since I only play Grand Operations.

Um, same BTK until 17m. Also same RoF of 359. So, not exactly.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

LOL WAT? @15 meters the .25 ext has exactly the same TTK as the .35. The differences in spread/recoil inc/dec between the two guns are IMO totally irrelevant to killing stuff <15m where the .25 ext is relevant.

The .25 vs the .35 is a very straightforward trade of mag capacity (so multi enemy fighting, plus cushion for missing) versus being restricted to short range. IMO that is an excellent trade because of how important close range performance is, for me in particular since I'm in a tank most of the non grindey maps.

If mag capacity/accuracy is holding you back in the 20-30 m range, like BU said the Rigotti is a solid choice.

My first post ever on here. Before I ask my question I have to say that symthic is super good compared to all the other forums I have come across - especially as I was new to the BF franchise and more or less anything but FIFA up until Feb this year when I decided to get bf1. Since then I have played a lot (almost 22k kills). Having started off as scout (as it allowed me to take my time to learn how it all works from a bit of a distance) I switched to medic and came across some inspiring videos on the 8.35 variants. 5,000 kills later (factory and marksman) my questions are, for the factory variant: A) how far can I rely on hip fire (I tend to ads unless they are completely in my face)? B) do I have to slow my fire rate below 300rpm when hipfiring to reset spread?

Thank you!

a) The range at which hipfire is effective is dependent on the base hipfire spread of the weapon. The 'no trigonometry for me thankyou', TL;DR version is: When the target fills most of the hipfire 'diamond', hipfire.
b) Yes, but you shouldn't need to reset spread at that range... So, no.
Hope that helps, welcome aboard :)

Factory vs. Marksman

First SYM post...

I have been using the 8.35 for some time now after growing acquainted with Duck's channel and insight. For a while I almost exclusively used the marksman variant which I feel has served me quite well for approx. 2k kills. However, with the buff to factory slr's, this variant now seemed to be the better choice when looking at the numbers. Hence, I started using the factory exclusively. Currently, I have put about the same amount of time into the factory as I have with the marksman yet I still feel I still fare much better with the marksman version.

What is the exact difference between the two variants? I have looked at the stats comparing both but am confused how the numbers translate into actually playing the game.
