Perhaps they should make a game mode that's like TDM except there's large expanse where nobody could cross and they just...snipe.

Sniper Elite 3 multiplayer did this via "No Cross." It was a heckuva good time, if you're into tactical sniping haha.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

i'm not sure i understand the point you're trying to make with the rushVSfrontline gameplay techniques.

i just know that most times in rush in olderbattlefields everyone would attack and only about a single squad stay in the base/where the m-coms were(regardless of playercount) , which allowed for extremely good flanks if you were capable to get one, in front lines it would work the same way, all you'd have to do is make a larger trip around for the flank, which is why i hope the maps will play out more like arica harbor than they will locker.

Operations is such a great game when the attacking team...attacks. Win or lose it's great fun.


Definitely seconding this. Regardless of which team I'm on, I usually hope the attackers win; you actually get progression and new locations, instead of just sitting in one spot for ages spamming rounds back and forth. A game where the defenders put up a solid defence, but the attackers eventually win is an ideal Ops game for me.

i think i just made up a new idea on how to eliminate excessive sniping in operations: dynamic map borders.
say the match has a time limit of 30 minutes, as time goes on, the attacking OOB border gets closer and closer to the defending sides, forcing snipers to get closer into the action, until the last couple of minutes where maybe the max distance is like 50 meters from the flags or even less.

naturally it'd be a problem with vehicle spawns, but i know how snipers think, especially the crappy ones(i've been one after all, and still enjoy it if you give me a controller), and that's the only definitive solution i could come up with to make people stop sniping so much without actually taking away their rifles.

like seriously, it's absurd that on fao fortress my team may have planes and tanks and the ship absolutely decimating the enemy team, and me + 2 other guys would be the only ones actually trying to take the enemy flags, it's almost as if the othe rplayers think they'll get burned if they get inside the capzone of flags.

Assaults who just run in and die because they're bad are just as useless, they're just much harder to notice. Snipers and Arty Trucks simply get a bad rep because they're obvious, and now that we have Medic distance indicators, bad Medics are getting similar treatment.

Bad assaults will at least contribute an extra body towards flag capture, they can serve as a spawn point alowing other more competent players to get to the action quicker, they give enemies an extra target in combat increasing my chance of not being shot at first, and they will occasionally get some kills from random automatico spraying. I'd much rather have a bad assault than a bad sniper on my team when I'm trying to win.

It's a linear game mode that has both teams both attacking and defending, what's hard to understand about it? It seem to be very similar to Attack/Defense mod in Team Fortress 2, with the extra twist of the rush bit at the home bases.
The thing I don't understand is why do they have to screw up rush, which is a great game mode itself, to introduce 2 other hybrid game modes. Although I loved CQ and CQ assault in BF3, I loved rush even more. The clutch plants defenses and defuses...those moments aren't there anymore.

I can't test it(of all the days to spend a night over with a friend) but the new weapons just came to the CTE.
