"They Shall not Pass" Expansion: Confirmed Information and Speculation

Yesterday, DICE teased a glimpse of what we can expect for the first Downloadable Content item "They Shall not Pass."
Here, we can link newly revealed information and enjoy contemplating theories about what this expansion may hold in store in anticipation of the additional content arriving in March.

Judging by DICE's patterns in the past, it is plausible that a reveal of some kind will be taking place in the near future.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we will get the CTE with the alpha maps right after the vacation, just like with FS (think of it; the DLC is exceptionally late relative to BFH and BF4 (ESPECIALLY bf4)

Well not necessarily. DICE's last project in the form of Battlefront released their first Expansion Outer Rim in April; 5 months after the initial release in November. Here in Battlefield 1, the premier DLC arrives in March; 5 months following October's debut. It would appear DICE's new approach is to postpone new paid-for content 5 months after a title's foremost announcement.

I mentioned this in another thread, but with two levels suggested to have underground components, I'd strongly expect if there's a new Elite class it will be a "Sapper", focused on explosives.

Really love this art, though. Seems we will really get our trench warfare maps. I actually kinda hope for a couple trench maps with different layouts and visual setting. It would feel very right, and with the Russian DLC I think we're less likely to get another trench map.

Russia will most likely focus on snowmaps, with the northern section of the eastern front, along with the Finnish Civil War, and then probably one southern eastern front map that isn't snowy.

with 3 trench maps (vaux is most likely not a trench map), i think that itch can be considered scratched.

Sorry, but SOVIET-Finnish war(First was in period from March 1918 till October 1920) was after WWI and has no relation to Russian Empire. Also, Finland was part of the Russian Empire until 6th of December 1917.
Actually, snow maps with Russian Empire DLC has the same chance to appear as for other european countries, since most of battles for RI was on Caucasus against Ottoman Empire and Eastern front against German Empire. Maybe they'll do one snow map in Baltic region, but, speaking honestly, WWI for RI wasn't about snow battles.

Maybe one of the Russian classes will be a Finn, similar to how other empires have minorities represented by certain classes. Not sure how you'd tell a Finn from a Russian when they are both wearing uniforms though. The Russian cavalryman should definitely be a Cossack!

I'm kinda suprised that we didn't get any snow maps in the base game. Maybe one of the DLCs will feature winter fighing in the alps? During the war both the Italians and Austrians triggered avalanches that would hit enemy forces, that could be a cool mechanic if DICE could pull it off.

Seeing a Finnish class/reference could be fun but I figure we did not have big enough role in Europe's business pre/during WW1 ^^'. At least Finland was kind of referenced with "Giants of Karelia" but even that really referenced Russian side of Karelia.

Kind of odd they are releasing the DLC that much later this time. Hopefully this means they will not push DLCs too fast so BF1 can live little bit longer (in sense there is something new to chew on).
