About the whole 'france not being in the vanilla game'-thing
Why do people care so much about something that is essentially nothing but a character skin & VO combination?
So many mechanics and basic concepts are being changed in BF1. I don't know about you guys, but I am extremely anxious (or even blatantly scared) at how that is going to play out and affect the gameplay.
Meanwhile, all I see in mainstream discussions is marketing-related things - most notably the france-discussion.

If it flies, it dies™.
Ok how about putting it this way: Why is their an entire part/faction of the game ...

Just realized it's 4/20 tomorrow
Thanks for the heads up!

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.
>littlebird passanger, semi-auto frag rounds
>gunship OP
I'm pretty sure there's a massive post-it on every desk "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ANYTHING THAT IS ACTUALLY DOING WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DOING"
"Hey guys remember how stupid prenerf mav was?"
"Lets add c4 to it."
The World Champion went to China once.
They called me a Gweilo.
So I kicked a big fucking hole in their wall and let all the Mongolians in.
just thought I'd share.
The thought of Assaults running out of ACE 23 rounds mid firefight, Engineers facing the rear of an unaware MBT with no rockets left, Recons unable to...Whatever the fuck they do. These are the things that keep me up at night![]()
I don't know what's funnier, the video itself of the fact that an unlisted video has more views than most of your normal videos![]()
...
You just live to hit people upside the noggin with a Math Bomb, don't you?
[context] Maybe it's the UK's overly aggressive porn filter at work. After all, it does have the word "monkey" in it and monkeys have been known to have sex so...
Previously, at DICE HQ:
"Ok guys, the password is "epic dream worlds"; everyone take a letter and do your best to turn it into into something random that we can put into a picture!"
But but but

There's no way he doesn't know what he's talking about

Of course, this ignores the non-constant cross-sectional first moment of area across the chest as well as non-constant material properties of the boob; it would be difficult to perform a more detailed analysis (as in, I'd have to have a shape function AND I'd need to derive a function for elastic modulus as a function of lateral breast coordinate) but whatever. It's 2am and I'm lazy.
I always believed science should be very hands on experience.
You should also answer this question I had posed in that thread: Would you be willing to pay your surgeon more if he was going to use a chainsaw for the opening incision of surgery? Clearly using a chainsaw isn't truly suited for surgery but that doesn't really matter. If he's "skilled" enough to be able to use the wrong tools of the trade, he should be rewarded for that skill right?

But Battlefield has never been particularly true to real life, outside of the guns/vehicles/gadgets being modeled after real life things. The kind-of-awkward mix of sticking to it's historical guns and pretty-much disregarding them entirely at this point is annoying me a little, probably more than it should
Your expectations of this being a full historically accurate game should've gone away when we saw parachutes and massive gun-bearing zeppelins.
You're right, they probably should have but they didn't![]()
Like I said I don't think it'll make much of a difference overall, it's just the part of me that catalogued a box full of First World War objects going "BUT IT ISN'T RIGHT HHHHNNNNGGGG!!!"
And reading Youtube comments still gives me Turbo Cancer.
It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.
What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Players in BF1 can use LMGs by themselves (on the move while standing, no less), jump between the seats in two-seater planes and fly giant blimps dropping bombs and raining lead on the battlefield and no-one cares, but people get their nickers in a twist over how many classes have bolt action rifles as their primary weapon.
Up until now the disproportional amount of LMGs, BAs and other specialist gear hasn't been a problem in BF titles. IMO there is some substance behind the complaints about BAs (in the flavor/feel of the game sense), but the game is a BF game first and a WW1 game second. The "problem" has been blown out of proportion because the internet likes complaining and people ar focusing on that instead of actually important things like if there will finally be a matchmaking system.
